Marques Miles, RFC®, NSSA® Executive Director,

Marques entered the financial services industry in 2010 before founding his own firm, Pathways Retirement Advisors, in 2020. Committed to helping people become financially literate. Marques is licensed to offer both insurance and investment products. Pathways Retirement Advisors, is a firm dedicated to helping clients find confidence as they venture to and through retirement. Marques is recognized as a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) and National Social Security Advisor Certificate Holder (NSSA).
Brooklyn Miles Director of Marketing & Client Relations
Prior to joining Pathways Retirement Advisors, Brooklyn worked in the dental field and says it was surprisingly similar to the work she does today, as she works to build relationships and address client needs in any way possible. Brooklyn has been recognized for her communication and leadership skills and her ability to handle tough situations.
For our PRA team, Brooklyn works to get our message and services directly to you. She handles all marketing materials for our firm. She finds the best venues for our live events, and she greets every client that comes into the office, ready to help answer questions and assist with paperwork.
Brooklyn and Marques have been married for 10+ years and live in Frisco, Texas, where they’ve begun the journey of raising three young children, Roman, Taytum, and Mila.
When asked to share one piece of advice with the clients she serves, Brooklyn turns to one of her favorite quotes from business author and speaker Grant Cardone: “I suggest that you become obsessed about the things you want; otherwise, you are going to spend a lifetime being obsessed with making up excuses as to why you didn’t get the life you wanted.”
Teresa Miles Event Coordinator
Since Teresa joined our team as the Event Coordinator she has been making a profound impact ever since!
Teresa’s extensive professional background includes everything from bookkeeper, teller and new accounts representative, to an aide supervisor and caregiver. Along with an associate degree in business administration from Tulsa Community College and a certificate in occupational therapy from Brown Mackie College, she brings a wealth of experience and education to our team.
What really sets Teresa apart is her genuine sincerity and ability to make everyone feel included. She’s spent years working with people of all ages, which taught her how important it is to make each person feel noticed, heard and important.
Teresa’s decision to join Pathways Retirement Advisors was inspired by her son, our Executive Director Marques Miles! After watching him change clients’ lives for over a decade, she knew she wanted to be part of this rewarding journey, too.
Away from the office, Teresa is a proud mother of three amazing individuals — Marques Miles, Chanel Guthrie and Daisha Miles. She also has two bonus children who married into the family and five wonderful grandchildren who have brought so much joy to her life. Teresa is an active member of her local church and enjoys live music, theatre and watching movies in her spare time.
Laura Williams Client Relations Coordinator
With a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions, Laura takes pride in creating positive, memorable client interactions that reflect her commitment to their satisfaction and success.
Laura studied at Middle Georgia College and Perimeter College at Georgia State University. She brings valuable skills to Pathways Retirement Advisors from her time in healthcare, including active listening, problem-solving and personalized care. Her experience drives her client-focused approach, helping them feel supported and confident throughout their financial journeys.
Laura enjoys hiking, camping and archery, and spends her time outdoors or volunteering through local food banks and Girl Scouts of the USA. Her close-knit family includes her husband, John; daughter, Elizabeth; and their dog, Taylor. Laura values hard work, integrity and helping others — principles she upholds both at home and at work.
Tara Lavertue Planning & Case Design Specialist
Tara joins Pathways Retirement Advisors after a career in the paralegal field. She brings a strong eye for detail and an analytical mind to her job as a Financial Planning Assistant.
Tara’s desire to help people attain a secure and fulfilling future inspired her to get into the financial planning industry. She is proud of her ability to consistently perform at a high level and give clients her absolute best.
Tara is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family.
Kayla Crawford Client Relations & Marketing Specialist
Kayla recently joined Pathways Retirement Advisors as a Client Relations and Marketing Specialist, after spending a few years in the health care industry. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and ensuring clients’ needs are met with honesty and care. She also understands the importance of thorough communication and offering clients comfort and confidence.
At her core, Kayla considers herself a woman of God, and she is led by the desire to serve others, adding a personal touch to every interaction. She is dedicated to helping clients work toward a healthy and happy retirement.
Kayla graduated from Independence University with a degree in health care and will graduate with a business degree from the University of Houston-Victoria in 2026.
Outside of work, Kayla is a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, Courtland. As a mother to Ruari and Juniper, Kayla is a proud baseball and dance mom. The family also has a cat named Percy and a bunny named Rocky.
Kayla loves creating lasting memories with her family, and she also enjoys baking and selling homemade kolaches and snickerdoodles. Her latest interest is homesteading, and she tasked her husband with building a coop for some new chickens.
